Employment Authorization Documents being recalled

One of the main reasons people come to the U.S. from other countries is to work. There are many U.S. companies that hire people from other countries because of their expertise in certain areas. Recently, there has been a recall of employment authorizations that were issued, resulting in problems for foreign workers.

If a person was issued a U.S. work permit using form I-589, they may be asked to give them back. A printing mistake was made for those who were issued these cards in April and May and affect mostly workers who petitioned for political asylum and affected around 800 workers. Affected workers will receive new cards within a few weeks. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) states that these workers are still authorized to work in the U.S. This is the second recall in six weeks when over 8500 green cards were recalled in May because of incorrect dates.

Many immigrants come to the United States because of work. A person seeking legal work permits in the U.S. can have many questions as this often is a complicated process. A legal professional who specializes in employment immigration can help their client with their immigration needs. An attorney can work with their client to obtain their permanent residency or nonimmigrant visa depending on their needs. They understand the many different visas available and can make sure their client's needs are met and that they are alerted to any issues that they may not be aware of.

Employment immigration is an important matter for many Miami residents and businesses. It is important that the U.S. is able to allow foreign workers and employment immigration attorneys are there to make sure their clients have good legal representation.
