SUV and motor home collide leaving one dead and three hurt

When a family is faced with the unexpected loss of a loved one, a lot of emotions can surface: anger, frustration, confusion, and sadness to name a few. They may wonder whether the death could have been prevented or whether someone was at fault for causing the accident.

The family of a young man may be wondering these things after his life was taken in a motor vehicle accident. He had been a passenger in an SUV with three others when a motor home traveling in front of them ruptured a tire.

The accident occurred earlier this week. In the early evening, the front tire blew on the motor home, sending it into the next lane where the SUV was traveling. The SUV was towing a vehicle behind it; the motor home struck the car being towed. The force of the impact pushed the towed vehicle into the SUV, forcing it off the road.

The SUV crashed into two trees and eventually came to a stop. The young man was ejected from the vehicle and was quickly transported to a nearby medical center. Unfortunately his injuries were too severe and he did not survive. Two other passengers in the SUV suffered serious injuries and are currently in the hospital; the driver sustained only minor injuries. The family in the motor home was not injured.

Currently Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. As more information becomes available, charges may be filed - against whom it is unclear. Investigators may be looking at signs of negligence on the part of the motor home driver or whether the blown tire could have been prevented.

No matter what the outcome, the family of the young man will always be dealing with the loss of their loved one. The aftermath of a car accident can be devastating and far-reaching. Hopefully investigators will be able to answer some of the questions that the families of the victims may have.
