Although nearly every Miami area resident will be involved in a car accident at least once during their lives, most accidents are not serious. When a serious accident does occur, a family can feel overwhelmed with grief and with the unexpected financial burden the accident may cause. A fatal car accident is life-changing for everyone involved.

According to recent reports, a police officer is dead following an accident on Alligator Alley. The accident occurred near the toll plaza in Broward County when the officer was off-duty and on the way home. He was hit head-on by a driver traveling the wrong way on I-75. The officer was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The accident is still under investigation to see if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly crash.

A deadly car accident is an unexpected event that many Miami area residents are forced to face each year. When these accidents are caused by a negligent driver, it makes the situation even more tragic. It is important to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident and determine what happened to cause it. It may be possible to hold the negligent party responsible for their mistake. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, funeral expenses, pain and suffering and other damages.

No family should have to go through the pain and suffering involved in losing a loved one in an unexpected accident. They may have the legal right to hold the negligent party responsible for their mistake.
