Woman with suspended license causes three-car accident

Drivers who knowingly disobey the law can be very dangerous. In many cases, a reckless driver can have his or her license and driving privileges revoked. It is then assumed that the driver will stay off the roads. This is unfortunately not always the case. Some people continue to drive with a suspended license and are putting others in danger.

After her Florida licensed was suspended, a Sunrise resident continued to drive illegally. It is unknown why her driving privileges were suspended in the first place, but it looks like her license may not be reinstated any time soon after she caused a car accident involving two other cars.

The negligent woman was traveling through Broward County last week when she failed to stop her car and rear-ended a car in front of her. The other car was making a legal left turn when it was hit. The victim's car then crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another car.

The second car that was hit was being driven by a pregnant woman who had her daughter and granddaughter in the car with her. Though none of the injuries were life-threatening, at least three people were admitted to the hospital with injuries that were sustained in the crash.

A license suspension is intended to keep a driver off the road for a specific amount of time. If a person is caught driving without a license, he or she can be fined and the suspension can be extended. In this case, the woman received another citation for knowingly driving with a suspended license.

It is lucky that no one was seriously injured in the collision, but there may be medical bills and property damage that resulted from the accident. In many cases, a negligent driver could be responsible for compensating the victims.
