On Behalf of | Mar 21, 2019 | Wrongful Death |

There are some Miami area residents who have jobs that can be considered dangerous at times. Although anyone can potentially be involved in a fatal workplace accident, there are certain occupations which can be considered more dangerous than others.

A construction worker was recently killed in a tragic accident at Epcot Park. First responders were called to the park for what was referred to as an industrial accident. The construction worker had fallen and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man worked for a local rental company and no additional details have been released regarding the tragic event.

When a family member dies because of an accident at work, the family is left with lots of questions and, oftentimes, overwhelming financial turmoil. It is important to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident and determine who is at fault. In a workplace accident, it may not be just the employer who is at fault. Equipment manufacturers and subcontractors, among others, may be at fault. By holding the negligent party responsible for the accident, compensation may be available for funeral expenses, lost wages, medical expenses and other damages.

A construction accident can be a serious event for the worker and for their family. A family may deal with the emotional trauma of losing their beloved family member, along with wondering how to make ends meet in the future. These types of cases are never easy on surviving family members. A family may have the legal right to hold the negligent party responsible for the accident.
