3 killed in a 2-car accident in Florida

Car accidents that result in injuries and deaths can be painful physically, financially and emotionally. According to a report from Jan. 20, a deadly head-on accident that took place in southwest Miami-Dade is still being investigated. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 1:45 a.m. near Southwest 144th Street and Krome Avenue. The impact was allegedly so violent that the two cars burst into flames.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the 19-year-old driving a southbound vehicle in a northbound lane might have been responsible for the accident. His vehicle held three others inside, a 15-year-old, 16-year-old and 24-year-old. According to the reports, the other vehicle had two people inside, and they were both killed by the impact. Because of the intensity of the accident, their dental records had to be used to identify the bodies. In the allegedly at-fault party’s car, the 15-year-old girl died from her injuries upon arrival at a local hospital. All others involved in the accident were taken to the hospital for serious injuries.
