Suspect flees scene of fatal hit-and-run accident in Miami-Dade

A Miami-Dade man was killed in a hit-and-run car accident on July 23. The fatal car crash took place around 1 a.m. Miami-Dade officials have located the Cadillac Escalade that was involved in the car accident, but have not yet found the at-fault driver.

The vehicle was found around two miles from the scene of the accident. The 67-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal accident. His passenger was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center after rescue workers cut her out of the damaged car. She sustained serious injuries in the accident. The 55-year-old woman is believed to be the man's wife.

The at-fault driver collided with the second vehicle and pushed it into a light pole. According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle then left the scene of the accident and traveled roughly two miles before abandoning the vehicle. Florida authorities are currently in possession of the Cadillac Escalade. However, authorities have not been able to identify the driver. Authorities will continue their investigation to locate the driver who caused the accident.

Car accidents like this one affect not only the victims who are involved but may also affect their families. They may have to pay steep medical bills, burial costs, and other expenses as a result of the car accident. Apart from the bills, they may also have a difficult time dealing with the loss of a loved one. Families may not be prepared for such expenditures and may have to make drastic changes to their lifestyles. A family who has experienced such a loss may not fully understand what avenues they have available to them. An experienced personal injury attorney may be able to help clients fully explore every accessible option.
